DIY Swiffer Duster Replacement

I love these DIY Swiffer Duster replacement heads. I should have made these a LONG time ago. I tried making them out of flannel, but it just seemed like too much extra lint. Why dust with something that will leave extra lint pieces? pffht!

I had some felt scraps left over from my daughter making robes for Christmas gifts and felt these would be perfect and not cost me a cent. Even if I had bought the fabric it would be about 1/4 yard to make 3 of them.

I have an older version of the Swiffer 360 Dusters Extender Kit. But, the blue ones work the same way as the newer yellow ones. Continue reading


DIY No-Sew Swiffer Sweeper

Hands down this is the easiest cleaning hack yet. All you need is some fleece and scissors. This DIY No-Sew Swiffer Sweeper Replacement will knock your socks off. I bought the Swiffer Sweeper X-Large Starter Kit In The Box because I have a lot of tile and wanted a larger sweeper surface.

Step 1 – Choose Fabric

I had some extra fleece laying around after my shawl project and beret project and felt this would be perfect for replacement heads for the Swiffer Sweeper.

Laundry Soap Recipe

I decided to try some various laundry soap recipes to see which one works the best. After looking through 10 recipes, I decided to try a liquid version. The liquid turned to a lump of goop that was not pour-able overnight. I don’t know if that happened because of our altitude (over 7,000 feet above sea level), because I cooked it too long, or because I used generic soap. So, I don’t recommend that one. Here is the one I’m using in my home right now.
