Fabrics are getting thinner and thinner, which leads to the need to purchase multiple items to layer to make for a modest outfit. Plus, the thin fabrics wear out quickly causing consumers to buy clothing more frequently.
I often keep ruined or old clothing around to make items like aprons and quilts. I ran across a simple way to make a modest maxi-style dress that I think is easy and re-purposes a shirt that could otherwise end up in the garbage or donated.
